Private Pilot Test Prep

Our next Private Pilot Written Test Prep Class is scheduled for June 29th - July 1st. This three day class packs a ton of information into just twenty-four hours of instruction. $299 per person includes Mike Lozano, Chief Flight Instructor as well as light refreshments. Summer Aviation Academy

CIA's Summer Aviation Academy starts June 20th! Ages 12 - 16 will enjoy three half days of instruction and hands on activities. Course is $249 per student and for an additional $99, students will get to take part in an actual flight lesson in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk.

Day 1:
  • Introductions & Facility Tour
  • Learn the Parts of an Airplane & Instruments
  • Learn how to Pre-flight an Airplane
Day 2:
  • Aviation Career Presentation
  • Navigation & Aviation Maps
  • Plan a Flight & complete a Navigation Log
Day 3:
  • Communication, Air Traffic Control, N-Numbers & Phonetic Alphabet
  • Tour of the Camarillo Airport Control Tower
Students will receive:
  • A pilot logbook
  • Academy T-shirt
  • 30 minute lesson (logged in their logbook) in CIA's Redbird Flight Simulator
  • Optional (extra $99) flight lesson in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk
Dates (select one):
  • June 20th - 22nd - SOLD OUT!

  • July 11th - 13th - SOLD OUT!
  • July 18th - 20th - SOLD OUT!
  • August 1st - 3rd - SOLT OUT!
  • August 8th - 10th - 7 remaining as of 7/25/12
Times:
  • Orientation is at 8:00am on the first day
  • Academy runs from 8:30 to 11:30am for three days
  • Redbird Flight Simulator lessons will be held at 7:30am, 8:00am, 11:30am & 12:00pm
  • Optional Flight Lessons will be held on Fridays between 12:30 and 3:30pm
Miscellaneous:
  • Students are welcome to bring a sack lunch that they can enjoy on the lawn or patio

Instrument Written Test Prep

Our next class date is scheduled for May 18th - 20th. Mike Lozano, Chief Flight Instructor, will be presenting from 8:00am to 5:00pm with an hour lunch break daily. Cost to attend is $299 and an additional $30 if you'd like to have boxed lunches each day. Light refreshments are provided at no charge.

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus will now be holding three classes at CIA! Registration is due by March 16th and classes are from March 19th to May 20th. Here's the schedule of classes:

AMNT 240 - General Aeronautics & Applications, Mondays from 5:45 - 10:15pm
AMNT 260 - Aircraft Electrical Systems Theory, Wednesdays from 5:45 to 10:15pm
ECON 210 - Microeconomics, Fridays & Saturdays all day
