If you'd like to rent an airplane during that time please make prior arrangements with the Flight Desk at flightdesk@flycia.com or (805) 987-1301 x 0. The Gift of Flight

'Tis the season to give the gift of flight! We have a lot of items in our pilot shop that we ordered specifically for the holidays so please stop in to check them out! We have new flight bags, CIA t-shirts and more!

If you're looking for a gift for someone interested in learning to fly we suggest the following:

A gift certificate for a Deluxe Introductory Flight Lesson ($219) which is designed for someone who has always wanted to learn to fly but may have never flown in a Cessna before. The lesson is two hours in duration consisting of a pre-flight lesson and a thirty to forty-five minute flight lesson with a flight instructor.

Cessna's Online Course for Private Pilot Training is perfect for someone who is ready to get started flight training! This course is $329 plus tax and is the entire ground school for the Private Pilot's License. This gift idea is extra fun because it gives someone something to actually open on the holidays!

If you're looking for the rated pilot we have a few suggestions:

A gift certificate of any amount to be used towards aircraft rental, flight instruction, pilot supplies, fuel, maintenance or any other service we offer.

Raid our pilot shop! We have headsets, flight bags, charts, books, airplane related clothing and more! We have gifts available to fit all budgets!

A gift certificate for flying lessons in our Redbird Simulator is an excellent gift for the rated pilot. He or she might want to use it towards IFR training or they might like to sharpen their IFR skills if they're already rated. The Redbird is $113 per hour with an instructor.

If you're looking for a gift for the whole family:

Take a trip to Santa Rosa Island! Our Half Daytrips are $160 per person and discounted when you have parties of four or more. If you want the whole airplane to yourself the rate is $792 plus tax.
